Black Spotting Round 1

I do two rounds of black-spotting on a given page. When I have my first go at the things, I place what I like to refer to as "true blacks", the things that I know will be black.

When I do my second pass, I print smaller versions of the page with the "true blacks" placed and have seven or eight goes at things trying out various placements before going back to my original and putting the black in there.

My friend (unbeknownst to me at the time) gave my number to this waitress I'd been eyeing once on our way out the door.

He said it was from, "Tall and skinny".

She never called.

Jimi's Thumbs?

I once read (or heard?) somewhere that Jimi Hendrix's hands were so monstrous that he could wrap his thumb over the neck of his guitar and fret all six string with it allowing him to play barre chords and some lead bits at the same time?

There are some longer panels in these thumbnails hence my title?

THE 90s SHADOW MOVIE WITH ALEC BALDWIN IS AN AMERICAN CLASSIC!!!

For real though... I struggle A LOT with getting shadows into the picture using just black and white and I'm REALLY happy with how things turned out here.

One Day Segue (Peepin and Creepin?)

This is a piece that I've submitted for a exhibition called, "Peepshow" that my friend and old roommate Charlotte Ferguson is curating.

I haven't drawn like this in awhile but I'm pretty pleased with the piece. It's certainly left of center and the title is "Future Porn (Bad Connection)".

I think I'm going to have to step my corny title game up a WHOLE lot because I've almost squeezed the rag full of "clever" post titles for thumbnail related entries dry.
